There is so much to learn about snakes and raising them and that's why it's so important to observe them on a regular basis so you can understand their body language and their intentions and their personality and temperament :o)
For some reason many people assume a snake constricts something with intentions of eating it and that's not why they do that and it's actually the complete reverse situation of what many people assume :(

People always ask me why my snakes are so huge for the different species that they are and it's not because they eat big feeders or eat a lot in one feeding because they all eat frozen thawed rodents but the reason mine are all so large is because they are out of their enclosures at least three days each week and spring and summer I take them outdoors and allow them to roam around to express themselves freely so unlike fat lazy snakes that lay around most of the time my snakes are ALL very strong muscular snakes and are VERY active on a regular basis. They do have their quiet time in their enclosures to shed and rest and to digest food but other than at those times they constantly beg me to let them come out to have some freedom

I actually don't have favorites but I've always loved the normal genetics of the Ball Pythons especially the adults and they may not be expensive snakes but I think they are gorgeous snakes with the sweetest temperaments and personalities.

Tipr was my rescue many years ago and he still has a scar on top of his head because when I got him he had a fresh deep live rat bite on his head above his eyes and another deep rat bite on the side of his neck but the scar on his head has never healed up completely but he's still a very friendly social snake :)
If people insist on feeding their snakes live feeders please at least monitor the feeding so your snake doesn't get attacked by a live rat !!!
