I'm sorry I'm behind of posting videos I've been sick for almost three weeks and I wanted to make this video to let other snake keepers know that snakes that are socialized do notice a change in their relationship with their handler for various reasons.
I apologize for my absence and I'm feeling a bit better now so I can make more snake videos while we still have a warm week ahead :)

There is so much to learn about snakes and raising them and that's why it's so important to observe them on a regular basis so you can understand their body language and their intentions and their personality and temperament :o)
For some reason many people assume a snake constricts something with intentions of eating it and that's not why they do that and it's actually the complete reverse situation of what many people assume :(

Jasmine just arrived this morning and she is a beautiful Caramel Coastal Carpet Python female that was produced by Living Legless Reptiles and I found her on Morph Market's web site. She was hatched out in July and I would like to thank Travis for sending me such a sweet gorgeous little girl :)

We had an awesome friend and guest for two days at my home Brian Kusko and he met all of my snakes and spent time with most of them one on one outside of their enclosures and they were very cool to make a new friend and warmed up to Brian really fast so that told me that they trust him and were totally comfortable with him with the exception of Jasmine my new Caramel Coastal Carpet Python female that wasn't sure how she should be acting so she tried to attack everyone LOL She finally calmed down so we had a great time just hanging out and talking about snakes and I was truly honored to meet a friend that is as passionate about snakes as I am so that really highlighted Brian's visit. He met my family and we hated to see him leave but he's on a journey to help educate people about snakes so it was a great cause and reason for him to visit friends and spread the love and respect for snakes :o) I felt bad that we couldn't take Nosey and Grumpy out but Grumpy started his shed and cleared his head off and as usual sat there waiting for me to help him finish his shed but Nosey was coiled up with Grumpy and being her usual protective self of her boyfriend Grumpy so I felt it was in our best interest to leave Nosey and Grumpy inside of their enclosure however Nosey did leave Grumpy's side long enough to devour a couple of rats LOL
Also in the video is my male friend and companion Dennis Herosia that I've been spending time with for the past 2 years and he's a really great friend as well :o)

This video is an update on my gorgeous 7 year old girl Tawny that I almost lost after her last clutch of eggs that consisted of 42 eggs that took her 17 hours to lay them all and it's basically to express my values that I place on each of my snakes regardless of their price and genetics because each snake is priceless to me and a vital part of my life and family ;)

It won't be long before it's warm enough to take my snakes back outdoors and my snake room should be completed by the end of March so after a long winter I'm bringing my snakes out of their enclosures more often so they can adapt to being more active and preparing them for their busy spring and summer months ahead going outdoors.
A commonly asked question I often hear is would a Corn Snake or a Ball Python make a better first snake for someone that has never raised a snake so along with bringing Opal out for some freedom and exercise I decided to address this topic in this video :)A
I apologize for being behind on my friends videos but with all the work being done daily on my snake room addition and all the noise from the power tools I've had to invest a LOT more time bonding with my snakes to keep them from getting stressed out from all the loud sounds and vibrations around my house. I will try to get caught up over the next couple of weeks :) It's also so hard to get over losing my big girl Nosey but I realize I have to move forward to take proper care of my other snakes and to invest quality time with them.

A captive bred snake doesn't mean snakes have to live like prisoners but it merely means that snakes are no longer living out in a wild natural environment and are no longer free roaming but that doesn't mean your snakes can't have some activities in it's life !! I really wish people could get this straight so their snakes have a better quality of life :o)

I actually don't have favorites but I've always loved the normal genetics of the Ball Pythons especially the adults and they may not be expensive snakes but I think they are gorgeous snakes with the sweetest temperaments and personalities.

Tipr was my rescue many years ago and he still has a scar on top of his head because when I got him he had a fresh deep live rat bite on his head above his eyes and another deep rat bite on the side of his neck but the scar on his head has never healed up completely but he's still a very friendly social snake :)
If people insist on feeding their snakes live feeders please at least monitor the feeding so your snake doesn't get attacked by a live rat !!!

She is so dang cute and funny every time she falls off her hide she turns around and glares at me and she rules out that it was my fault that she fell so she turns and strikes at her hide LOL Today I made her a new one that isn't as tall so hopefully she can keep her balance better on that one Haha
Sometimes all it takes is a calm soothing voice to teach your snakes how to trust you :) Can you imagine how you would feel or any animal for that matter isolated in a box/cage without any contact with other living creatures totally isolated from everything else in their environment (world) ? They need to learn to be social animals and the only way they can learn that is if you are social with your snakes :)
Jasmine my new Caramel Coastal Carpet Python is learning to trust in leaps and bounds and I'm so very proud of what she has accomplished in such a short time here with me :)
Be patient with your snakes they have to learn new things and it's best if each new experience is a positive one for them :o)
